We at Jen Hagan Design are committed to producing the highest quality knitting patterns for all types of knitters, and to providing professional, friendly customer support for all of our patterns.
All patterns tested by experienced knitters, and edited by professional technical editors and copy editors to ensure correctness and quality.
All of our garment patterns include schematics with pertinent measurements to help with blocking. All our patterns also include charts and accompanying written instructions for all stitch patterns involved in each project.
Our patterns are for knitters of every skill level—beginner to advanced. We help knitters build skills by including either full explanation of all techniques needed to complete the pattern or by providing links to tutorials.
We provide prompt pattern support for all our patterns. Just email jen@jenhagan.com with your detailed questions. When writing, please provide as much information as you can (pattern, size, exact problem encountered, etc.) so that we can best assist you.
In addition to her line of original design patterns available for download, Jen has an extensive body of freelance work that has been published in some of the most respected publications in the industry.
We are passionate about knitting, and equally passionate about the quality that we offer our customers. It has been a long but joyful journey to get here.
We began in 2005 as Figheadh Yarnworks with printed patterns for handknitters. In 2010, we added a line of PDF downloadable patterns called Mirth, which included both knitting and crochet patterns. In 2020 we combined both pattern lines to form our Jen Hagan Design pattern line of knitting patterns, which are 100% PDF-download. You can now find our patterns also on Ravelry, at WEBS, and on Lovecrafts.
As an independent knitwear designer and pattern author, Jen enjoys channeling her creative energies into making garments and accesssories with yarn. You’ll see lots of cables, but also some lace and colorwork, as well as simple textures. You’ll also find basic patterns for learning and for when you want a meditative project. Jen has a background as a teacher, and endeavors to help handknitters expand their skills with her patterns. We’d love to connect with you on social media, the figknits blog, and in our Jen Hagan Design Knitters group on Ravelry. We hope to see you there!
